The Wedding Process

My goal is to help you create your dream wedding cake, whether you’re going for traditional, modern, or completely original. Together we will find the design and personality of your cake to compliment the tone of your wedding.


I recommend booking your wedding 6-12 months in advance, but it’s never too early to get started to ensure availability on your wedding date. Consultations are by appointment only.


Consultations are a complimentary service for weddings serving 75 or more guests. For fewer than 75 guests there is a $10 consultation fee, which will be applied to your balance if you choose Kelly’s Cakery. You may choose four cake flavors to try from the Cakes page. Icings will be paired for you and fillings will be available to try at a later tasting.


You’re invited to bring any photos, themes, invitations and patterns to your tasting for design inspiration. Wedding cakes are priced by servings, starting at $3.25 per serving for buttercream cakes and $4 per serving fondant cakes. Prices can increase based on design and overall complexity. There is a $40 delivery/set up fee. If you choose to rent a cake stand, there is a $25 rental fee. The day of the wedding, the stand should be left with the venue or a trusted friend/family member and will be picked up the following Monday.


Once you select Kelly’s Cakery as your cake designer, we get to work on your contract. To book your date, a 50% deposit of the estimated final balance is required. All forms of payments are accepted, although cash and check payments are appreciated.


Approximately one month before your wedding, we will meet again, finalizing guest count, design and flavors. For this meeting you may choose any four cake and buttercream flavors as well as up to three fillings to sample.

The remaining balance is due at the time of this meeting.
